St. Joseph’s School, Ferryhouse
St. Joseph’s School is an open residential centre, owned and managed by the H.S.E., for boys between the ages of ten and seventeen. In June 2007, the responsibility for the provision of education at St. Joseph’s School was transferred from the Department of Education to South Tipperary VEC. The centre, through comprehensive policies of care, education and control, aims to provide a safe environment for young boys whose diverse needs have not been met for a variety of reasons.
Within this framework St. Joseph’s School has developed programmes and procedures which are designed to facilitate the achievement of these objectives. The centre actively involves the children and their families as well as a dedicated and professional multi skilled staff team in the achievement of these goals. Our ethos is to nurture all through a spirit of inclusion, tolerance and promotion of individual self-growth. We value and respect each individual.
